Maternity
Those pregnant days feel hard, however 9 months go by in flash. You never quite realise until baby has arrived that through the swollen, hands, feet or heartburn that you truly miss that feeling of growing your baby.
How does a Maternity Photoshoot work?
My maternity photoshoots are recommended for around 30-34 weeks pregnant, book in anytime after your 20 week scan.
Maternity photoshoots are a great way to bond as a couple before the arrival of your beautiful newborn, older siblings and/or fur babies are also more than welcome.
The studio wardrobe is available for any of my photoshoot sessions, although styling a maternity shoot is a firm favourite of mine! I update the wardrobe constantly, with unique stand alone pieces or items you can mix with pieces from your own wardrobe.
There’s no need to fully know what you’re after, I give a full styling consultation and will always chat through any worries or insecurities you may have (believe me as a Mum myself I have all the same worries too!).
I give full guidance of posing throughout the photoshoot so you’re never left feeling unsure of what to do, these are still taken within my signature natural style and I include full airbrushing within all my packages.
Newborn
Let your photos transport you back to those heady first days of sweet milky smells and skin-on-skin. They grow so quick! So let’s capture those fleeting moments of adorableness.
How does a Newborn Photoshoot work?
When you first have a baby the last thing you maybe thinking about is getting portraits done but if you’re here then it must be on your mind!
My style of newborn photography is entirely baby led, with over 6 years of photographing newborns my aim is to make the photoshoot as relaxed and stress-free as possible both for the newborn and their parents.
The gentle style of posing both parents and babies, allows for everyone to relax into the studio environment and simply bask in the glory of this beautiful new being that you have created.
You’ll be encouraged to cosy up with your family, breathe in every ounce of that unbelievable newborn scent, whilst having these precious moments immortalised for you to look back on time after time.
Naturally number of my newborn photoshoots include older siblings, the studio is beautiful and spacious and can easily accommodate large families. Aiming to include all members of the family (fur babies too!) I’ll gently pose the kids together whilst also allowing them breaks to play, read, snack, chill or even help me take a photo or two.
The stunning boutique studio is based in central Ross-on-Wye, there are many local eateries that you can pop to before or after your session. There’s lots of parking available plus there are a few local parks so if any older siblings need to blow off some steam they are within walking distance, plus can give Mum abit of a break for cuddles or feeding too.
Newborn shoots can be taken anytime before baby is 3 months old, however if you would love to capture them in the super tiny, super fresh stage then I’d recommend 5-10 days old.
A question I get asked regularly is how do we go about booking when we don’t know when baby will arrive?
My diary is entirely flexible, I always allow room for manoeuvre and will have a few slots that will work for you as I only take on a certain number of shoots per month. To secure your due month, simply get in touch via my contact page along with your due date and I can send you over my full packages. We then secure your booking with a £50 deposit, balance is then due on the date of your shoot.
We simply keep in touch closer to your due date and as soon as the baby has arrived I’ll give you a few options that will work. My newborn shoots get scheduled in the morning or very early afternoon, I don’t take on any newborn shoots later in the afternoon as they tend to want to cluster-feed or just feel slightly unsettled.
Milestones
First tooth, first steps, first birthday, first sibling - blink, and you’ll miss it! Let’s immortalise it on camera so you can show the photos off to their friends on their 16th birthday.
How does a Milestone Family Photoshoot work?
Milestone sessions can be taken for any reason at all, families of all ages and numbers get in touch to update their family albums. I also regularly get asked to photograph larger extended family groups.
First Birthday sessions are extremely popular and taken within my natural, unfussy style.
With a few neutral and classic ONE props I guide the family into games, cuddles, running around or dancing around to little ones favourite tunes.
These sessions are fast paced but so much fun and you’ll definitely forget there’s even a camera there at all! A very good note for those camera shy Dad’s!
Why Saturday’s get booked up exceptionally quickly so it’s always a good idea to book in sooner rather than later.
Lifestyle

How does a lifestyle family photoshoot work in my own home?
The answer is simple, if you have a stunning home with lots of natural light then this is a perfect option for you. It’s every part of the experience with me but I come along to your own home.
We’ll chat more about specific rooms you would like to use but the rest of the sessions are exactly the same, the fun, natural style without needing to leave the house!
Based in a commercial building in Central Ross-on-Wye (HR9 5BU), the studio is an absolute hidden gem.
It’s up a few flights of stairs so I always recommend popping baby into a sling for ease of getting into the studio where possible.
The studio is a stunning space, with beautiful large windows, high ceilings, bespoke wall panelling, wooden herringbone floor and neutral furniture pieces to bring the shoot to life.
These pieces allow you to be yourselves as well as having some peace and quiet whilst I’m posing your little ones.
There’s a huge selection of drinks on offer, a coffee machine for those sleep deprived parents, soft drinks and most importantly a great selection of biscuits.
The location has fantastic access links with motorways close by making it around an hour from Bristol, Cardiff, Worcester, only 30 minutes from Hereford, Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Cotswolds.
There is local parking allowing only a short walk to the studio itself and there are many local eateries in the town that make it perfect for a quiet afternoon stroll along the river or through the town to the many local antiques stores!

Gift Vouchers are available on all photo shoot packages. It’s completely flexible - you can purchase any type of shoot and the recipient can also adjust this if they’d rather, so they’re not tied in.
They can also choose if they would prefer a studio or outdoor location, or even a mixture of the two which is absolutely fine! The studio is located in the beautiful countryside in the Forest Of Dean so it’s easy to create some natural shots in an outdoor setting before or after their studio session.

Client photographs are ONLY used on the website or social media once written consent is received. Once purchases are made, your images are deleted approximately one month after the shoot takes place. We would therefore strongly advise you download your photographs as soon as they have been activated in the download link.

Although the packages do not currently include any prints, albums or frames, if you would like these to be included, just let me know & we can find the perfect options for you.

Simple outfits work best, especially in terms of family shots and not too many patterns! If in doubt, have some options ready and we can see what works well in each shot on the day.
I also have a great Mummy wardrobe that you can borrow any pieces from, just ask me for details when booking!

I must admit, I haven't had to completely abandon a shoot because a child really doesn't want to be photographed....but there's always a first time for everything!
As a parent myself, I totally understand that children’s moods can vary wildly. This is why we give so long to the children shoots, as they have got to be comfortable and not feel rushed or have too much pressure put on them. We make it SO much fun that children usually forget there’s a camera there at all (think the polar opposite of school photos!).
We work around the children, the best thing we have on our side is that I'll be a new face with exciting things to look at. We'll play the shoot by ear making sure that they have an absolute ball, with lots of toys and distractions. You'll find that we can definitely capture their unique personality!
And lots of my clients say afterwards that they’ve really enjoy themselves & the whole experience was as lovely as the final results. It’s so nice to enjoy an hour of time to play with the kids & have a cuddle - to be in the moment, without a phone in sight.
